Filed Under: Exclusive, Harry Potter Series // Dec 11 2016

Our staff member, McKenna Fury, had the opportunity this weekend to go to the Harry Potter and the Socerer’s Stone Live Concert experience. This event was performed by the Minnesota Orchestra. ~

This event was on December 10th, 2016 at the 7:00pm show. The Harry Potter film series is one of those once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomena that continues to delight millions of fans around the world. The concert featured the Minnesota Orchestra performing every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Nicholas Buc was the conductor of this orchestra. Also included along in the orchestra was a choir.

The night started off with a fun photobooth with various Harry Potter props. I got to have a printed photo as a free keepsake to remember this great night. After the photobooth, there was a featurette that showed how the composer of the music score created the music. The featurette included actors and director of the Harry Potter films.

The performance included a live music score by the Minnesota Orchestra while the movie played on a giant high definition screen. Every note from the movie was played and it sounded amazing! The night was definitely one to remember and I want to extend a big thank you to the Minnesota Orchestra for letting me experience this and for letting me cover their performance!
